Trips 2024: Solomon Islands: Bilikiki live aboard, July 24 - Aug 3 - followed by PNG Tufi Resort - this was truly exotic - "further away" from home than we have ever been before:  Tufi had a gravel - uphill runway. On the way back we were in a hurry and got in a small but powerful two-prop plane and climbed in excess of 10,000 feet to go to Port Moresby in a straight line over the mountains... Tufi's geography is interesting - it looks like Norwegian Fjords - but the growth is Jungle... I saw my first hammerhead Trip report and pictures to follow.... • Little Cayman Beach Resort July 6-13, 2023 - We were trying to advertise this trip on 11/2 (standby - might still happen). At this time, we are stalled waiting for our Cayman Air group ticket to become available.

DEMA 2023 - rare opportunity:

  • The cost has gone up $500 - compared to the original Covid-19 delayed trip from 3 years ago. Fiji Air cost are expected to stay close to the original quote
  • We will start to look at land based extensions before Bilikiki - as a group or individually - say Fiji...
  • We have found two good land based extensions in PNG - for a week after Bilikiki...
  • PS: priority will be given to divers signed up for any of the Covid-19 cancelled dates (2021-2022)
