    Greetings From The Hospitality Hut!

It was a slow month for the Hut.  I do not have any guests to report.

The weather has been perfect. The water will soon be warm enough for some of us warm water lovers! Can't wait to DIVE, DIVE, DIVE.

I look forward to the upcoming months and greeting guests at USA club meetings.

In the meantime, I encourage you to visit our home page www.usadiveclub.org.  Please click on the calendar and keep up to date on all the diving and non-diving scheduled activities. You may also take a look at the photo gallery and take a peek at past events.

I wish you all Happy Diving.

    Greetings From The Hospitality Hut,

It's always a pleasure to see a returning face from the past.  That is just what happened at the February meeting of our club.

Former member, John Fisher,  joined us for another wonderful presentation. I remember a dive with John, Glada and several other members on the Starfish Enterprise. John stated he is interested in rejoining the club! As a Master Diver, John was certified in 1999 and has over 1000 dives under his weight belt.  Hopefully he will rejoin soon.

I encourage you to visit our home page www.usadiveclub.org.  Please click on the calendar and keep up to date on all the diving and non-diving scheduled activities. You may also take a look at the photo gallery and take a peek at past events.

    Greetings From The Hospitality Hut,

Happy Fall y'all!  Hopefully the very hot days are behind us and we can start to enjoy some cooler weather.

At the September general meeting, I am pleased to report one first-time guest was in attendance.

Chris Burden has been a firefighter for 20 years and a registered nurse for over 30 years.  He has three daughters and enjoys a host of sporting activities.  In addition Chris became a certified scuba diver in 1998 and holds a Divemaster certification.

I am very happy to say that Chris has applied for membership in our club and is ready to go diving with like-minded people.

    Greetings From The Hospitality Hut,

I am pleased to report at the August general meeting two first-time guests were in attendance.

Thank you to Russ Manhold for introducing Brent Harder, and his lovely wife, Juliana Palou to the club.

Brent was certified in 1973 and is a Dive Instructor.  He was first certified in West Virginia and has way too many dives to count.  Brent enjoys all aspects of diving such as spearfishing, photography, diving walls and wrecks and of course a relaxing drift dive to sightsee all the underwater bounty.

Brent's wife, Juliana, is a Master Diver, certified in  2015 and has logged 180 dives.  She enjoys looking into the deep blue for the large pelagic underwater wonders. Juliana would like to dive in the Maldives with her favorite dive buddy, Brent.

    Greetings From The Hospitality Hut,

It certainly has been a long time since we have met.  Hopefully, we will have a large member turnout at the August general meeting.

I do not have any guests to report but I am looking forward to greeting guests at upcoming meetings. Remember, you don't have to pre approve a guest.  All are welcome to walk in.

Club trips are completed for 2023.  I have been enjoying the images Julie has been working diligently on and adding them to the USA Photo Gallery.

Greetings and Salutations From The Hospitality Hut,

Rainy Season has arrived on schedule.  Lots of thunder storms that manage to upset our beautiful ocean making visibility very poor. Having said that however, members continue to enjoy a very active Local Dive schedule.

At the June ZOOM general meeting we had 3 guests.  Harley, Alex and Robert from Ocearch, who are associates of our speaker Tim Barker, signed in to join the conversation on catching, tagging and gathering blood samples from these large fish.

Thanks to our VP of Programs Rick D. we continue to have great presentations  Please be sure to give Rick a thank you for his talent in obtaining interesting speakers for our club meetings.  I know it is not an easy task.

The club is heading to Bonaire very soon so I am attaching a picture taken in 2018 when I was trip leader.  That's me standing inside my dive locker down on the dock.  Have a great trip!

I encourage you to visit our home page www.usadiveclub.org.  Please click on the calendar and keep up to date on all the diving and non-diving scheduled activities. You may also take a look at the photo gallery and take a peek at past events.
